When it comes to selling your product, do you follow these 4 golden steps?
Your marketing site is the prospective customer's 1st port of call upon discovering your app. Your job is to transform this wandering web surfer into a paying customer.
The solution? AIDA.
1. Attention! Does your marketing site really draw the visitor in? Or is it a nice slab of text detailing what your service does? Leave the nitty gritty till later. Your first concern is to catch the eye of the passer-by.
2. Interest your visitors. Once they're watching, drive home the benefits of your service. Everyone has features, but benefits are easier to relate to for the would-be-customer.
3. Desire for your product is now key. Make your visitors know why they NEED your product. Relate to them. Give an example of an everyday situation where your service will be useful. Give 10 examples.
4. Action calling. The customer-to-be is now motivated to give you money, so don't screw up the most important step of all. Make the signing up process as easy, quick and painless as possible. Is the bounce rate from your pricing and signup page higher than 0%? Then improvements can still be made.
